I saw this posted on the Pride in Barry Facebook Page last night and thought it was too good not to share. I think it’s fair to say a massive thanks to PIB for collating all of this information. So take your pick and try and attend at least one event. It all kicks off this Friday at High Street, Barry.
Friday 25th November – High Street Christmas Lights Switch On
Saturday 26th November – Sunday 4th December – Ice Central at Central Park. Ice skating, festive food and drink and I’ve heard those Mack Events boys are putting on some live music…
Saturday 26th November – Holton Road Christmas Lights Switch On from 4pm.
Thursday 1st December – Santa in Love family musical at The Memo
Friday 2nd December – Streetcat Named Bob showing at The Memo Cinema @ 6:30pm
Friday 2nd December – Northern Soul Night at Barry West End Club
Saturday 3rd December – YMCA Christmas Fair 10am – 1pm
Saturday 3rd December – Festive Market and Santa’s Grotto at The Memo 10am to 4pm
Saturday 3rd December – The Vale Funeral Service are holding a Christmas Memorial Service at St Mary’s Church to remember loved ones. It starts at 2pm.
Saturday 3rd December – Barry Male Voice Choir have their annual Christmas concert at St Helen’s Church 2pm – 4pm
Sunday 4th December – The Mayor of Barry is holding a 2k Santa Fun Run at Barry Island from 12pm.
Thursday 8th December – The Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker is being streamed live from the Royal Opera House at The Memo at 7:15pm. One of Barry’s finest young dancers is involved – would be great to support her!
Friday 9th December – there’s Carols in the Park for Macmillan in Victoria Park at 6pm. Barry Brass Band will be there too.
Saturday 10th December – Christmas Market at High Street – Barry
Saturday 10th December – Barry Community Choir have their festive Christmas concert at Crossways Church @ 3pm. £7 a ticket, refreshments included.
Saturday 10th December – Barry Town United Football Club are hosting a Casino Royal Night.
Sunday 11th December – Razzle Dazzle Theatre School are hosting a Christmas showcase at the Memo from 2:30pm.
Monday 12th December – Saturday 17th December – The Churches of Barry are putting on ‘Christmas – The Story’ at St Mary’s Church, Holton Road. Sessions in English an Welsh at 10:30 and 13:30 daily, with 18:30 sessions on Tuesday 13th and Thursday 15th.
Thursday 15th December – Sunday 18th December – the biggie, the Billboard Pantomime! Snow White – it promises to be a real treat for all the family!
Thursday 22nd December – A Muppets Christmas Carol is showing at The Memo at 11am.
Thursday 22nd December – Motion Controll Dance are having a Christmas Showcase event at The Memo from 6:30pm.
Friday 23rd December – White Christmas is showing at The Memo From 1pm. £4 with a mince pie and a hot drink.
Friday 23rd December – I’m picking up my turkey, chicken and beef from Vic Hopkins and I can’t wait! Any tips for cooking? Let’s see how many people read down to the bottom of this ridiculously long post!
