Yes, this is true, Pele, yes that Pele, world cup winner, football legend, Pele is coming to the Vale of Glamorgan.
The evening will be held at the Vale Sports Arena in Penarth on Friday June 2nd. The venue has already held evenings with top sports stars such as Paul “Gazza” Gascoigne, Andrew Cole, John Barnes, Craig Bellamy, Jamie “Carra” Carragher, Robbie Fowler, Didi Hamman, Jason McAteer, Neville Southall, Norman Whiteside, Mark Lawrenson, Paul Merson, Didi Hamann, Dennis Wise, Neil Razor Ruddock, Darts Champion Eric Bristow and boxers Tony Bellow and Frank Bruno.
At 76, Pele is still well regarded as one, if not the greatest footballer ever and to see him in the Vale is a once in a life time opportunity. He is still the top Brazilian goalscorer of all time with 77 goals in 91 games and is one of only 3 footballers to score in 4 separate world cups.
