A new Barry bridal shop has experienced great success since opening two months ago with their first customer wedding in 2 weeks time.
Jessica Hill, 30 from Barry opened up the shop two months ago as it was her dream to have her own bridal shop by the time she was 30. The boutique is based at the former park parlour on park crescent and Jess and her partner Gareth, saw an opportunity to make use of a disused building, which had been vacant for many years.
The building needed a full renovation and was completed in around 6 weeks, with her partner Gareth and friends working round the clock to get the shop completed on time. The shop was opened one day before Jess’ 30th birthday with an exclusive opening night.
Jess has been working within the bridal industry for almost a decade and having her own shop is a dream come true.
“I have always dreamed of opening my own bridal boutique, a wedding dress is the first thing I learned to draw and I remember designing the layout for my shop when I was just 10 years old after being a bridesmaid. I have been working in bridal shops for almost a decade across Wales with leading designers.”
Jess and her partner have recently had a baby girl in which the shop is named after.
“I had been been on maternity leave after having our miracle baby, who the shop is named after. It seemed like the right time to set the business up, an opportunity came up to renovate a disused building.
“It needed full scale renovation and my partner Gareth project managed and did a lot of work himself in just 6 weeks. I painted the shop with one hand whilst pushing the pram with the other. Having a young family and committing to such a big project wasn’t easy but together we did it and it only makes us prouder now when we see the finished project. The last day it was all hands on deck as everyone helped to get it ready on time for the grand opening and we just about made it. I always said I’d open my shop by the time in 30 which was the next day.”
“This bridal boutique is a first for Barry, bringing customers fashion forward gowns at affordable prices in a luxury setting. The appointments are exclusive, there is only one bride at a time with my undivided attention, expert knowledge and honest advice.”
The boutique stocks a wide range of exclusive brands including Eternity bride, Sweetheart by Justin Alexander, and Art Couture with award winning accessories from Glitzy Secrets. All the designers are exclusive to Wynter Isabelle as you can not have the same label in a 20 mile radius.
“The business has had a fantastic start with numerous 5* customer reviews on Facebook. Customer service is the most important thing for me and I will always go above and beyond to help my brides.”
