Barry Town United Players, Tyrell Webbe and Chris Hugh starred as Wales defeated San Marino 8-1 in a European Championship qualifying match.
A big crowd turned up for the game and Wales started off well with Tyrell Webbe scoring after just 7 minutes. The Welsh team looked in control as Adam Hesp scored the second before the break.
Barry Town’s Chris Hugh, who starred in the Nathaniel MG Cup final against TNS scored a brace, as well as goals from Rhys Williams, and second goals from Hesp and Webbe to make it 7-0 to Wales.

Webbe then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot. There were red cards for San Marino’s Fererico Macina for denying a goal scoring opportunity and Wales Chris Hugh was sent off at the other end for the same offence.

Overall, it was a good result for Wales which sets them in good confidence for their next game against Greece on Sunday. The other result in the group saw Moldova Defeat Greece 4-0.
