It’s another win and another belt for Barry’s Andrew Selby as he defeated Jake Bornea at Wembley Arena last night to claim the vacant IBF Inter-Continental Flyweight title.
Bornea, 21, who comes from the same Philippine city as Manny Pacquiao, put up a gallant effort but it was Selby who reigned supreme, with the fight stopped in 7th round and AC Superstar Selby becoming the first person to stop Bornea.
British Flyweight Champion, Selby, moved through the gears and dominated Bornea throughout the rounds, giving an almost flawless performance, and now remains undefeated in 7 fights. The bout was part of the undercard for George Groves who defeated Eduard Gutknecht on Channel 5 last night.
Even though they were foes in the ring last night, they woke up and enjoyed breakfast together.

There’s no stopping Andrew Selby who has been tipped for a world title fight in the future. Is it possible to have two world champions from Barry down the road, it’s very very possible!
Highlights of the fight are below.
