Last week all the pupils of All Saints Church in Wales Primary School took part in Road Safety Week 2016. Road Safety Week is the UK’s biggest road safety event, coordinated annually by Brake.
Brake is a road safety charity that works to prevent road death and injury, make streets and communities safer, and supports the victims of road crashes. Brake founded Road Safety Week in 1997 as an annual event to raise awareness about road safety and promote steps that everyone can take to stop these needless deaths and injuries year-round.
All classes undertook a number of different activities, including making road safety iMovie films, creating posters to keep children safe and also learning how to cross the road safely. Some classes used Comic Life to write about road safety, composed adverts to help keep people safe around the streets and Year 5 used the LEGO education StoryStarter sets to build the different elements of the Brake pledge.
We really enjoyed participating in Road Safety week 2016 and we will continue to educate and share what we have learnt in order to keep everyone safe around our school.
