Vale couple win individual ‘Strongman’ competitions

You might have seen the recent article we did on Nathan Szuchnik  breaking the Welsh Dumb bell record a few weeks back.

Well Nathan, and his partner Natalie Roberts, 31 from Rhoose both entered the Black Country Strongman Competition in Birmingham this past weekend and both came first in the men’s and woman’s categories.

Natalie, who has only been training and entering ‘Strongman’ competitions for 9 months, has previously won the 4 competitions she has entered and is currently Wales’ Strongest woman in the Under 63KG category.

The events involved in the weekends competition included overhead medley, dead lifts, yoke, farmers, keg carry and atlas stones. Nathan won all events apart from one in which he came second, Natalie won 3 events and came second in the other two, but both did enough to take first place in the competition.

Next up for the couple, Nathan will enter Wales’ strongest man in the under 105KG category and Natalie will enter Wales’ Strongest woman competition in the under 63KG in April.

They would also like to say a big thanks to their sponsors Muscle clothing UK, SNS Supplements from Barry and Promixx.

The Daily Vale will keep you updated on future competitions.
