Hire a Barry Island Beach Hut

The 2017-2018 booking arrangements fr the Barry island beach huts has been released. If you fancy booking one, here is all the information you need.

Spring/Summer – Open 10:00 hours to *20:00 hours from the first Saturday of the School Easter holidays – Last Sunday of the Autumn half term school holidays.

*10:00 hours to 22:00 hours- July/August school holidays

Charges – Small Huts £15 per day – Large Huts £25 per day

(Half day hire may be available and this is charged at 50% of the daily rate)

Autumn/Winter – Open 10:00 hours to 18:00 hours on the first Monday after the Autumn half term holidays – Last Friday leading up to School Easter holidays. #

Note: Extended hours may apply during events

Charges – Small Huts £5 per day – Large Huts £10 per day (No reductions for half days)

BY ANNUAL TICKET Annual Tickets – Annual Tickets will be available for 6 X large huts @ £600 p.a. each and for 6 X small huts @ £450 each p.a.

Normal operating hours apply although ticket holders will be allowed to occupy the hut from first light.

Annual tickets will commence on the 1st April to the 31st March annually, the tickets are nontransferable and are valid for a maximum period of 12 months. Registration for season ticket sales commences on 1 st February annually and will close on 15th February. All applicants should be resident in the UK and be over 18 at time of application. 12 successful applicants will be drawn at random from those registered and any season ticket offers not taken up will be subject to a re-draw until all are issued.

GENERAL OPERATING ARRANGEMENTS

The Council operates a no refunds policy for annual tickets and the Council does not accept responsibility for any loss, damage or theft from a beach hut whilst on hire to a member of the public or commercial customer. In addition, as the hirer of the beach hut you accept responsibility of your own actions and for those you allow access to in terms of any damage sustained whilst on hire to you.

General hire arrangements can be made via C1V either by phone (01446 700111) or through the app/website or by cash at the resort.

Annual tickets can only be purchased through C1V.

Full payment must be made at the time of booking. No refunds are available.

At the time of the booking – customers will be read a disclaimer regarding site rules and procedures and will need to provide their name, address etc.  No discounts or concessions are available.

Key collections from 10.00 hours and returns up until closing time on site.

Onsite bookings can be made for a whole day or for half, subject to availability.

Half days will be charged at 50% of the full day rate. (Spring and Summer only)

A half day rate will commence at 2.00pm daily.

A maximum length of time for one booking is one week.

Cash bookings will be added onto the online system by the Resort Supervisor to update the system.

A receipt will be given for any cash received and a record effectively maintained.

The Tourism Team will have exclusive use of one small hut and one large hut for promotions, events, commercial use and education purposes.

The huts are not for rent by charities, organisations, traders, schools etc.. Unless it’s a pre-planned event or through the Tourism Team.

SITE RULES AND PROCEDURES

Beach huts are for public use only. They are not for hire for commercial (unless an approved planned event through the Tourism Team), religious or political purposes.

No overnight use will be permitted for any of the huts (hire or annual ticket).

Lost keys will be charged @ £10 each.

Annual ticket holders will not be able to sublet the huts.

No alcohol, drugs or anti-social behaviour will be tolerated.

Occupiers in breach of site rules will be asked to leave the hut without reimbursement.
