Fog Causes Flight Disruption at Cardiff Airport

It was mixed fortunes for Cardiff Airport on Monday as fog affected many airports throughout the UK.

Cardiff Airport received a Royal Air Force Hercules and a business jet divert as weather impacted their landing during the early hours of the morning.  Shortly afterwards the weather at Cardiff Airport also deteriorated resulting in four flights diverting to other airports causing numerous delays and cancellations.

Fog set in again throughout the UK later in the evening which caused two further diverts to Cardiff Airport intended for Exeter.

The situation improved greatly on Tuesday but the first of the re-launched London City flights was delayed several hours due to fog at London City.
