GlstonBARRY is right around the corner, we revealed the full line up first, along with Wales Online last month. It’s set to be epic, even the the ‘Big Top Tent’ is set to change the GlastonBARRY landscape as it holds close to 4000 people under one roof.
In the run up to the event, we will be providing features, interviews and more, we’ve already looked at our top 5 acts and we have a lot more in the pipeline.
On the launch night, we spoke to Jodi Winter from CJCH solicitors as to why they are sponsoring such a big event and this is what they had to say.
TDV – The first thing we would like to know is why did you decide to sponsor GlastonBARRY?
We followed GlastonBARRY in the early days, going back to the memo, buying the tickets in a car from Ross and we’re a local firm but have grown to be a national firm, but it started in Barry and Cardiff, and we wanted to support local guys who are really putting Barry on the map. We all love music and we thought it was a great thing to sponsor locally.
TDV – What does it mean to sponsor a local event as a local business?
I think its’ massive, sometimes you have to look closer to home and support local things, put our arms around each other and support our local businesses.
TDV – Have you been to GlastoonBARRY before?
Yes, we have, it’s fantastic to see how it’s developed from the early days of the memo when the fire alarm went off, we all got kicked outside , the disasters at the bar, but the music and what they ave done has always been fantastic, and for two local guys, I take my hat off to them.
TDV – As the main sponsor of GlastonBARRY, which acts are you looking forward to the most?
For me, it’s prince, 100%. Honestly cannot wait!
With around 4 months to go, we can’t wait and don’t forget to check out our handy guide which is updated as we get further information.
